the quest of the king of the ring
During the 14th edition of Car Free Sunday, Leuven gave its city back to soft road users. Everything within the Ring road around Leuven was closed off to traffic. Residents, organisations, and associations arranged all kinds of activities to celebrate the car-free streets.
The highlight of the day: The King of the Ring. For the first time ever, thousands of cyclists took up the entire width of the Ring, under police escort, during a seven-kilometre ride.
Indiandribble assisted with the organisation of the event, as well as the (co-)development of the communication assets. Together with Mobiel 21, we handled the practical preparations and coordination. Including transportation and managing traffic.
As a result of this campaign, we conveyed the main message loud and clear: ditch the individual car and celebrate sustainable mobility.
